Latest Firefox version has added a new feature called speed dial which shows 9 most visited websites' thumbnails on new tab page. This allows you to access website directly from the speed dial. You will not have to enter URL ad thus faster access to most frequent websites. But some users are not happy with this feature. If you are one of them, you can disable this feature.
Follow these steps to disable speed dial in Firefox:
After this, you will see a blank new tab page in place of speed dial page with quick links.

- Open Firefox browser, type about:config in address bar and press enter.
- Now it will open a warning message. click on the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button.
- Now search for browser.newtab.url
- Double click on preference name and change the string value to about:blank. Default value is about:newtab.
- Now click OK to save this new setting.
After this, you will see a blank new tab page in place of speed dial page with quick links.
